Obama thought that the country wasn’t ready for the changes he wanted, so he was more cautious than Joe. You do have to ask why this story comes out now. Somebody somewhere has an agenda and a reason for this article. But this version is more likely than the idea that Obama is secretly calling the shots behind the scene.

Presidential candidates choose running mates who don't threaten them and who won't quarrel or try to take charge. They also usually pick VPs who are from another faction in the party -- somebody they don't alway agree with. For those reasons, presidents look down on their VPs -- and VPs resent it.

You don't get that high on the political ladder without having a large ego, and it's an insecure ego, because presidents have a lot to worry about. If your spent your whole life fighting your way up the ladder, you wouldn't want to take orders from anybody else, and you wouldn't like your former underling thinking he could do things better than you did.

It's interesting, though, that Biden was more interventionist when Russian invaded Crimea. What he's been doing lately may have something to do with his not getting his way back then.

As part of the public, it didn’t take long to realize that Obama would suck as president. Before that, I had wondered how it was that he even got nominated. Now Obama apparently thinks Biden would suck as president. That has definitely been proven out. Now we wonder what Biden thought of Obama as president before that happened. I’d pick RFK Jr. over either one of them.
