I’m just thinking about the noise of the gun.
I shot a .357 mag without ear protection and my ears had a pinging sound for the rest of the day.
My hearing is not good, from my childhood. Not from firearms.
But, my absolute favorite firearms is a very heavy 357 mag. SASS Pro Uberti 5-1/2” revolver. Use moderate load (8 gr Accurate no. 5 with 158gr Hornady XTP bullets) not loud, mild recoil.
I know a lot of people who say they hate to shoot .357 mag. Might be so with maximum factory load, and light short barreled gun.
