The communists were the first scourge, just like antifa here. The entire Nazi party was created as a response to the attempted communist takeover, and the Brown shirts were organized to fight the antifa types in the streets. Many, if not most, of the bolsheviks in the Russian Revolution were Jewish, so Hitler blamed the rise of communist gangs in Austria/Germany, among other things, on the Jews. Or so I understand.

The Nazis were just better at street fighting than the Communists. The 1918-19 Communist revolutions in Berlin and Bavaria were stopped by the Stahlhelm, a nationalist veterans’ organization. The Communist uprising in Budapest was also suppressed. The failed revolutions were the template for defeating Communist terror. Our 21st Century Communists are Antifa, BLM, and the military age young men being infiltrated from the Communist countries in Latin America, as well as from Red China and North Korea.
