In retirement I work in wine and spirits retail sales. AB has been pushing rebates for Bud Lite since the beginning of the Mulvaney fiasco. Last summer AB was offering $15 rebates on 12 packs of Bud LiteâŚmaking them virtually free. They are currently working with distributors and large retailers to offer cut rate deals. In our market BudLite was not a huge seller so I havenât noticed any significant change in sales despite the rebates. However, Mexican import Modelo is flying off the shelves being purchased more and more by âGringosâ. In my opinion AB should end production of Bud Lite and regroup with a new better quality product.
