They do not want our money for themselves.
They wish to control us by controlling our access to purchasing power, and therefore survival.
Anyone else read this and in their head hear a voice that sounded like an infomercial salesman?
I read a Sci-Fi novel back in the early 70’s when I was a teenager that had a main character who possessed a certain skillset and the government wanted him to do something. He refused, so the government froze all his assets, and he could see his ‘credits’ going down to zero on his watch! This was before there was even a digital watch on the market! No Internet, no personal computers, either!
He couldn’t even get into his apartment because his watch was locked out of the ‘system’. He couldn’t even ‘buy’ a cup of coffee at a snack bar because his watch was inoperative until he agreed to do the job.
I wish I could remember the name of the book. It was so prescient......................

Don’t believe the reporter. Read the EO for yourself on the WH website.
The book you’re describing is likely “The Moon is a Harsh Mistress” by Robert Heinlein, first published in 1966.
I’ll have to confirm, to see if it was a watch, I was remembering a bracelet.
I have that in hard copy and the original manuscript copy published after his death which the editors of the time chopped out a lot.................
This is never going to happen. That’s why 2 years have gone by already. Fed coin is going nowhere. My advice is worry about something that might really happen.
Read carefully it is clear Biden’s executive order can only put the questions, for analysis to various federal agencies, but for the purpose of submitting legislative proposals to Congess. In other words Biden’s executive order alone cannot create a federal digital currency; it will require action(s) by the Congress.
There’s not enough fat, middle age females in the federal fascist bureaucracy to make this happen.
Key word, “event”. Short of foreign troops on our soil, can’t see how they’d succeed.
