The video is put out by an anti-death penalty group. To them any execution is barbaric. I am in China for family business and cannot view YouTube and was reacting to posters who were making it sound like there were execution vans cruising the streets looking for random people to kill.

In reality these are only used in prisons but are mobile so that each prison doesn’t need one. It is neither horrific nor more barbaric than how executions are done in the US.

Thus, video is by implication false due to exaggerating the issue.

I understand your point, however, it is demonstrated that China executes more than all other countries combined. Add to that the fact that some crimes that are considered 'executable' are not crimes at all in many other countries. "Separatism" is such a crime -- there are other examples -- and separatism could easily be opposing the official Chinese narrative that Taiwan is part of China, or support of the Tibetan Buddhists. To me, this is utterly unacceptable.

In this context, this becomes far more hideous and morbid.
