Liberals don’t connect dots, until they become the dot. No matter how you try, you can’t reason with them until their own last words are, “It wasn’t supposed to be this way!”
This is proposed legislation that has not been debated in parliament yet, and even if passed there, would be facing challenges in ratification by Senate and drawn-out court challenges.
I do not think it has any chance of being passed, with an election likely, and a change of government could also end this legislation even if it could survive all challenges.
So various comments on this thread are quite premature. There was a similar effort about 10-15 years ago (even before Trudeau Liberals were in power) and it was overturned by the courts.
