We are all going to have to withdraw from the medical system.
For a while we may be able to get by using our pets’ vets.
What is happening to medical students?
Obama’s revolution.
They are immature idiots who were given a bit of power.
Universities are going to have to start required classes in debate. It should not be allowed ANYWHERE that you just get to shout your opponent down.
I think I read Hillary had a class of students walk out on her.
Medical students no longer recite the Hippocratic Oath. They stopped because they wanted to continue abortions. What does that tell you about them.
The AMA and medical students should focus all their time on improving medical care. IF, they have any free time, they should use it to play golf.
If they keep it up, they are going to do to medicine what journalists have done to journalism.
Many have already equaled or exceeded the evil of the Nazi “doctors” by happily mutilating the bodies of healthy children. Anyone who would do that is evil and twisted.
They should never have been given any power in the first place.
Dennis Prager had a fascinating guest today — Abigail Shrier, author of “Bad Therapy” — who discussed why teens and young adults nowadays act up like this, why they’re suicidal, why they refuse to marry or have children, and don’t want to work or, if hired, take “mental health days” or simply stop showing up.

“What is happening to medical students?”
Same thing that is happening to all students. Indoctrination by radical ideologies. IMO anyone who is unable to restrain themselves from such disrespectful outbursts should be expelled.
If one wants to be a professional *******, one should go to law school, not med school.
I graduated from Med School in 84 and even back then we didn’t take the Hippocratic Oath.
That was so wrong.
My MD is Nigerian, best doc I ever had, far too smart to have come from that med school in Chicago. Big problem with the school there is the politics of Chicago, among other things no doubt.
True. Plus dumbing down the curriculum and not requiring an admissions exam.
It used to be quite different. Unfortunately, the government and HMOs run healthcare now. Physicians are not allowed to use their brains much anymore. There is only protocol issued by the hospital conglomerate that employs them.
What’s happening to any technical field.

Just look at AT&T outage, was the outage due to a less than stellar DEI hire.
It might be useful to have a standard "Hippocratic Oath" that prospective physicians could take, but there is no such oath. The "classic" oath is now laughably outdated. There are modern versions of the oath, that are not standardized, but pursue various agendas that have selective appeal. Most physicians take no oath at all. Here's the classic oath:

Not quite appropriate for 2024.
