DOJ to give Ukraine $500K worth of forfeited Russian funds

Department of Justice (DOJ) is set to give $500,000 worth of forfeited Russian funds to Ukraine as the embattled country tries to fend off the Kremlin’s invasion.

The U.S. will transfer nearly half of a million dollars in confiscated Russian funds to Estonia, which will be then transferred to Ukraine, according to a Saturday DOJ press release. Estonia is receiving the funds first, since “under current authorities, the facts of this case do not allow for a direct transfer to Ukraine.”

The funds were forfeited by the U.S. “following the breakup of an illegal procurement network attempting to import into Russia a high-precision, U.S.-origin machine tool with uses in the defense and nuclear proliferation sectors.”

Show US the word 'weapon' in this transfer of money.

LOL, these are Russian forfeited funds. Why the conniptions?

Silly you. All wars come to an end, and then one sits down even with those one might not want to necessarily sit down.
The structure of your argument places two items unrelated together.
As time goes by, the potential for any kind of diplomatic approach lessens. LOL, because Putin can be trusted now?
I did not say what you implied, in Cathy Newman fashion. I wrote specifically "As time goes by, the potential for any kind of diplomatic approach lessens.

That historical photo above? Enemies/allies. All depends on the framework. I never said "Putin can be trusted."

So I will make it clear. Putin cannot be trusted. Zelensky cannot be trusted. Joe Biden cannot be trusted. Ursula von der Leyen cannot be trusted. Jens Stoltenberg cannot be trusted. António Guterres cannot be trusted. The Clintons cannot be trusted. The Obamas cannot be trusted. And certainly the Kagan-Nuland family consortium cannot be trusted.

But in that list, there's somebody you probably trust. Therein lies a clear political difference between us.

Yet somehow we had confiscated funds from Iran around for decades, which Obama gave back to them in via pallets of cash delivered by (military?) cargo aircraft.

As long as they are handing over loot taken from oligarchs, why don’t they give them the $300 million they plan to collect from Donald Trump?

Right, I'm the "silly" one for pointing out you CANNOT trust Putin's word or anything he signs. "Fool me once shame one you, fool me twice...your an idiot."

Signing treaties in the past with Hitler or now with Putin who has greater imperial ambitions is short sighted idiocy. Has Putin recognized an independent Ukraine? No

It was the deceitful West that admitted it never intended to implement the Minsk accords...and before that they connived to overthrow the elected Ukrainian government after it rejected their “trade deal”.

Peace settlement talks will take place in Lviv or Berlin if the West prefers.

LOL, exactly which members of the "deceitful West" signed the Minsk accords? None

Putin was not "deceitful" when he falsely claimed that Russia was not involved in Ukraine's separatist war, refusing to withdraw Russian troops from Ukraine as required by the Minsk Accords?

10-To withdraw illegal armed groups and military equipment as well as fighters and mercenaries from the territory of Ukraine.

Silly you, again. But one-half point for the fumbling try.

So I will make it clear. This time by separating the sentences to assist your reading comprehension.

Putin cannot be trusted.
Zelensky cannot be trusted.
Joe Biden cannot be trusted.
Ursula von der Leyen cannot be trusted.

According to the “national, yellow stream media”, they’ve already killed every Russian but Pooty Pooh. They’ve shot down every plane, helicopter and drone, sunk every ship, and blew up every tank the Russkis had. It’s Miller Time!

Neither did Russia for that matter idiot, whats your point?

The fact remains that France, Germany, and Ukraine itself admitted they never intended to implement the Minsk agreements at all, but rather stall for time to rebuild Ukraine's military...deceitful.

Let’s see if the cornered NATO and collective West do something really, really Stupid with the fall of Avidiivka and Russian advances all along the contact lines…..it is a given should the West go the suicide course, Vlad will go the Unconditional Surrender course….the Western War Cheerleaders need a good smack down….big enough to bring them to negotiations.

Until then, “ the last Ukrainian “ is on course……

That $61 billion is meant to keep the corrupt Ukrainian government from imploding. Who do you think is paying the government employees, retirees pensions and welfare benefits of the widows? America is propping up a corrupt oligarch while it allows its own country to be overrun by millions of invaders.

The document was signed by:

Russian Ambassador to Ukraine and Russian representative Mikhail Zurabov

So I will make it clear. This time by separating the sentences to assist your reading comprehension.

Putin cannot be trusted.

Zelensky cannot be trusted.

Sure, proving that Putin broke numerous international treaties, including ones he personally signed with Ukraine is the same as saying "no leader can be trusted." Exactly which international treaties did each leader break?

Even Trump has pointed out Putin violated his treaty with the US.

President Donald J. Trump to Withdraw the United States from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty - February 1, 2019

"Russia has not, unfortunately, honored the agreement, so we’re going to terminate the agreement. We’re going to pull out."

Again, nice try. Fumbling try to divert.

You write: "Exactly which international treaties did each leader break?" Not the issue of my comments.

One observes that President Trump is not a current sitting president, while all those I listed are in office or at work related to an official government office.

My comments were so-o-o much simpler. Of the list I provided, which leader do YOU trust?"

Which leader do you trust? Or don't you want to say?

Neither Russia or Europe was a party to Minsk, both had representatives sign the agreements as a show of good faith. We now know only one side ever meant to implement them

Its doubtful Russia will ever negotiate another treaty with the fascists in Kiev, and given how deceitful the Western behavior has been on Minsk that’s a good thing.

Maybe after Lviv has been given the ‘Belgrade treatment’ Europe will finally come to its senses, but its doubtful.

You were supposedly answered by reference to a Wiki. So often, those citing sources do not expect said sources to be read.

The end of the Wiki article offers a quote: "On 24 August 2022, after a meeting of the Crimea Platform, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy stated that current front lines in the war would not be frozen. "At the point where we are, we are not ready for a ceasefire. We explained that there will be no Minsk-3, Minsk-5, or Minsk-7. We will not play these games, we have lost part of our territories this way … it is a trap."

From a leader of one of the participants to those "agreements." Details can be interesting.
