Earlier this week, journalist James O’Keefe of O’Keefe Media Group visited a Ramada Inn by Wyndham converted to a migrant housing facility that is reportedly being run by the Casa Alitas program in Tucson, Arizona.
According to O’Keefe, buses were coming in with new migrants every 15 minutes, including during his “interrogation” by a Pima County Sheriff Deputy. During the interaction, O’Keefe disclosed that he had an “undercover” inside the facility. It was reported by O’Keefe that there was a makeshift room in the hotel with over 150 cots set up (photo).
The reporting by O’Keefe caught the attention of US Representative Tom Tiffany (WI-7), who sits on the House Judiciary and Natural Resources committees, as well as Doug LaMalfa (CA-1), who is on the Natural Resources Committee.
During a trip to Arizona, Reps. Tiffany and LaMalfa decided to visit the very same facility O’Keefe had documented previously. Upon arrival, Rep. Tiffany identified himself as a member of Congress on the Natural Resources Committee to an individual working at the hotel. Rep. Tiffany said he wanted to “stop in and take a look at how this place is operating because we understand that you have a lot of migrants come through here,” but was denied access because “unfortunately, we’re not allowed to let anybody that’s not…employees or staff [in].”
Rep. Tiffany said this facility was utilizing federal funding, of which US Congress has oversight, and that he would like to speak with a manager. The employee wouldn’t even let the congressmen into the office.
A woman in a hoodie and a surgical mask then appears. When the congressmen introduce themselves, the woman says, “No cameras please,” and asks someone to “Call the sheriff! Call 911! Because they’re on private property.”

Time to issue subpoenas and see what shakes out. I wonder when NGO’s ignore a subpoena what happens? DOJ arrest, convict? Judge sends to prison?
Just go and dare them to arrest you.
Then subpoena the people who were named in such testimony and put them under oath and publicly find out who they dealt with regarding this location. Continue on up.
People who refuse to answer should be held in contempt of Congress and available penalties imposed on these people.
Casa Alitas Program - Aid for Migrant Families
The Casa Alitas Program serves migrant families who have left their home countries to escape violence and poverty. We provide hospitality and humanitarian aid, medical services, short-term shelter and help to reunite with family members in the U.S.
Program Overview
Most migrants arriving in our community are parents, children, and pregnant women from Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Brazil, Haiti, Cuba, and many other countries. Most have traveled from their homes, through Mexico, to reach Arizona, a journey of several days to weeks.
In Arizona, the Border Patrol typically turns them over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ICE provides them with documentation and orders to report to an immigration hearing. Recently, the Border Patrol began releasing some families without going through ICE. This has resulted in an increased number of families being released into the community who need our assistance.
ICE or Border Patrol drops the families off at the Casa Alitas Welcome Center. Sometimes as many as 250 guests arrive at our hospitality centers in a day.
Staff and volunteers greet the travelers and help them contact family members in the U.S. They may also help them to get a confirmation number for a plane or bus ticket, which family members have purchased.
Casa Alitas provides a safe place to rest, rehydrate, eat, and care for their children. We also provide a change of clothes, hygiene items, and a chance to wash up. As needed, volunteer medical providers offer skilled and caring medical support for our guests, assuring they are healthy enough to continue traveling to their families within the U.S. Through arrangements with the Pima County Health Department, all guests receive a COVID test and are offered a COVID vaccine as appropriate.
Families receive travel bags before they leave. Bags may include food, water, toiletries, hygiene items, diapers and baby food, if necessary. We also provide blankets and small toys for the children for the plane or bus ride. Bus rides typically last 2 to 3 days.
Travelers who are unable to leave immediately spend the night at one of our shelters, staffed by volunteers and Catholic Community Services.

A number of clergy and other leaders in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod have been and some still are involved with this organization. None of the LCMS leaders have repented and apologized to the LCMS congregations for their past or current involvement with this unChristian organization.
Hotel prices have gone way up. Even a Motel 6 is $100 these days.

Sue them for a trillion dollars. Use the money for mass deportations. Sunlight is the best cleanser.
Who authorized this? I guess Congress. They need to be on trial.
How about AMERICANS who are homeless, are you helping them?
And furthermore, why are these peoples governments helping their own people?
Why am I and every other American taxpayer on the hook for charity none of us asked to be part of?
