No, I don't agree with the verdict personally, but them's the full facts. Anything less seems misleading to me. "but not convicted" could be taken to mean the trial is still pending a result.

And yes, I'm depressed that I know (very) young folks who don't know who he is, thus my insistence on stating it all, so as not to accidentally mislead some reader.

Your post “Accused?” is lacking detail. It could lead the uninformed to believe that you were doubting that he was ever accused.
