It’s sad when you’re thankful that your parents are dead. It's sad when you grieve for your children who have so much of their lives ahead of them and are facing such an abysmal future.
It's even sadder when you find yourself thinking that if you had known at that time how bad things were going to get now that you would consider not having them.
