In a somber admission, the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, conveys a gloomy outlook on the Ukrainian conflict, stating, “We do not see the light at the end of the Ukrainian tunnel.” Despite European sanctions, Borrell acknowledges that they have only weakened, not destroyed, the Russian military machine. This confession comes as Ukraine’s hopes of defeating Russia appear to be fading, with President Zelensky pleading for more support amid international fatigue and political gridlock.
The Washington Post reports a sense of desperation within Ukraine’s corridors of power, highlighting the country’s plea for arms, aid, and political commitments. Two years since Russia’s invasion, the conflict has reached a stalemate, challenging Zelensky’s ambition to drive Russia out by October. U.S. officials anticipate a lean year ahead, focusing on consolidating defense rather than reclaiming territory from Russia’s grasp.

“We do not see the light at the end of the Ukrainian tunnel.”
We told ya that at the beginning of this shiite fest.
Corruption and scandal? Your refrigerator may be reporting you for behavior fortification.
“Well, son of a bitch”.
Ukraine should play defense right now.
That’s the smart move.
When and IF Ukraine has another offensive campaign it has to be with total air superiority. Russia on the other side needs to exploit the weakness of Ukraine now, and continue to send human wave after human wave, to break the lines. They can’t have a functional Ukraine military long enough to get NATO air power and make them vulnerable. Russians winter offensive is the smart tactically and strategically.
Gee Whiz, that's so sad.

And so predictable.
Why go to the enemy from behind defensive lines when they will come to you?
They have built defensive lines and that worked but that does not mean that Putin has given up on conquest and last months show that, never ending assaults with men and equipment.
How do you figure that into your statement
“Why go to the enemy from behind defensive lines when they will come to you?”
Because these conflicts are not just military strategy, but politically based. Putin is running for re-election and he started a war. He needs to advance and take ground (even if only temporarily this year) or it could cause political problems. That’s not rational, but it is. The deaths have never really matter to Russia in the past, I doubt they care now and expect it. Like the Union in the US Civil War under Grant, they accept and push the enemy to failure. It’s actually a strategy for both short (political) and potentially long term. So Human Wave after Human Wave gets many Russians killed compared to Ukraine, but Russia can sustain the deaths and Ukraine probably can’t. Ukraines only hope is a breakthrough and rapid advance, they need fresh troops, Air Superiority, and equipment that can move quickly. Russia has the clear long term advantage at this point, it’s only potential weakness is the Russian Peoples will. Only in Afghanistan have they wavered in the past, aside from that Russia has been willing to ‘waste’ millions historically.
This conflict, from a strategic point of view, is fascinating. The US Deep State inciting this conflict is Tragic (yes they antagonized Putin and the Russian people). From a human point of view, the entire this is appalling. It’s still as stupid war with stupid prizes, and it is really Obama’s fault.
You can bet your boots that Biden’s puppet masters will insist that Zelensky continue with constant replenishment of the MEAT SHIELDS with fresh “recruits” through the November American elections.

Flushed down the filthy Ukie toilet, billions have been sent since 2014. We started training them for war and building training base way back then, it went virtually unnoticed except for us that cared to monitor it. US DOS will not disclose how much they flushed down the Ukie toilet pre war, conservative cumulative estimates are between $$$ 200-300 billion….the American people have been had.
Which “human wave after human wave” are you hallucinating ?

There is a light at the end of the tunnel, but it’s a huge train coming at the Ukrainians.

The Biden Regime has not weakened the RuZZZZians one bit. The RuZZZZians now have more and better military equipment, trained troops, and increased industrial capacity for weapons manufacturing. The sanctions did the RuZZZZians the favor of forcing the withdrawal of foreign multinationals and the RuZZZZians scooped up the infrastructure and businesses and the money stays in RuZZZZia.
As the retarded Zeepers like to say, “Doink!”
I'm not sure why an army would place mine fields behind ground they intend to occupy(?) Every map I've seen has Russia occupying exactly those regions that voted to become part of Russia before the conflict began.
I don't think that's a coincidence.
I have no idea what is in Putin's mind - of anyone else's for that matter. Well, except for Biden, who obviously has a completely empty mind.
Actually all you have to do is listen to his words, and no he doesn’t control of any of the oblasts he has “ annexed”
Taking Kherson requires crossing the dnieper river, not anytime soon.
Do you remember Kharkiv route(no defensive positions), and who could forget the goodwill gesture back across the river in Kherson.
He is far from his goals, and in fact has already lost his NATO expansion with countries of Finland already in, and Sweden soon( neither would have joined NATO without his invasion)
What is lost on many is the argument that he wanted Ukraine as a buffer, well with Finland joining NATO, one of the major choke points suwalki gap by Kaliningrad is now not that big of a deal
