A Kennedy is a Kennedy if by some nightmarish miracle, he got in the WH you would very quickly find that out. He’s as wedded to his antiestablishment positions as Fat Ted was wedded to being antiabortion. (Yes he was back when Boston Irish did a little more then just pretend to be Catholoc!)
Look, I am not defending the Kennedy family, but I am telling you, if the Democrats wanted Kennedy in the White House, he would be their nominee, he would handily beat Trump in a general election and I am saying that as a Trump supporter.
You don’t have to support something to recognized the reality of situations. Reality is, if Kennedy was the Democratic candidate, he’d win the White House... the DNC doesn’t want Kennedy so that ain’t going to happen. If Kennedy were on the ticket with Trump, I also agree that I would expect Trump/Kennedy ticket to handily pull 60% or so of the vote if running against Biden.
This isn’t an endorsement of the Kennedy’s but its a recognition of the political realities.
Now, the DNC clearly does not want Kennedy, and attacked him as hard if not harder then they have ever attacked Trump when he announced.
Personally, Kennedy running as a third party, which he currently is, is a net gain got Trump that most of the punditry is ignoring. One of the BIG differences between 16 and 20, was the Democrats bribed most of the third parties to stay off the ballot... However in 2024, this will not be the case, you are going to have the Green Party on the ballot in many states again, Kennedy is creating a party and working to get on the ballot, and a whole cadre of other 3rd parties will be on the ballot in mulitple states.. and the overwhelming majority are going to draw folks away from Biden.
