He was smart to lower expectations - the Iowa caucus can be fickle and most often closer than his poll predict.
If he wins by 8 or 10 points that’s a strong win and the fake news (and you) will spin it as a setback for Trump.

Nikki's talking tough about the border too, so is Gabbi, so they'll fit right in as his VP. Only DeSantis has said he is going to militarize the border and shoot on sight. And he'd do it. Big difference between DeSantis's record on delivering on what he pledged and Trump's empty promises.
