Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When a vehicle is captured and then lost in service with its new owners, it is only added as a loss of the original operator to avoid double listings. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it's not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

Support reportedly growing for a proposal to suspend Hungary’s voting rights in the EU (first time ever), because of Orban’s obstruction of Ukraine aid.

Sirskyi added that attack helicopters such as the AH-64 Apache and AH-1 Super Cobra, as well as the UH-60 Black Hawk, could also play an important role...

I'm sure the DoD could prepare 100 of the USMC's recently retired AH-1W SuperCobras, which would be very effective on the front lines. The Blackhawk would be a good in several configurations, and Igor Sikorsky, being from Kyiv, would certainly have approved.

An interesting fact. There are more stealth fighters on the deck of the USS Tripoli (LHA-7) than there are in all of Russia.

Fun fact!

Great picture...thanks for posting.

Russia doesn't have any stealth fighters, and they never will.

They have not been able to launch missiles from a weapons bay.

Looking at the picture below, it's easy to see why.

The problem is the air flow along the bottom of the aircraft.

The engine nacelles disrupt the air flow.

The air flow disruption would vary greatly depending on airspeed and G-loading at the time of launch.

So, the easy solution is external carriage.

Here's a picture of the F-22...note the clean lines of the airframe, compared to the Su-57.

I think 2 votes can stop this.

But will Slovakia do so?

I was being generous! I know aircraft analysts said from the beginning that the SU-57 wasn't close to stealth, and your pic makes it pretty clear they never intended it to be one, other than in their propaganda. It is a pretty plane though. The US will have fielded a 6th generation fighter, and have a 7th gen in development before Russia can build a 5th gen, if ever. And it's not just the stealth (or the ability to use internal carriage). They also lack the sensor fusion and networking capabilities of 5th gen.

The photo of the USS Tripoli demonstrates the USMC is going all in on 5th gen, while the USN is holding back, since they have a fairly new fleet of modern F/A-18E/F. The USMC has, and will have for the next decade or so, the world's 2nd largest fleet of 5th Gen fighters, after the USAF. The USN will likely replace the Super Hornet with a 6th Gen fighter.
