I'll steer clear. Thanks. No plans for Florida or anywhere else for that matter.

Just about any of them are a good place to die. The medical community here will get you too if you don't watch out. They don't develop a casual attitude, it is part of the system when the new hires arrive It is what they are taught. They follow what they see.

If I had run my business so cavalierly there would have been a trail of disaster behind me. You might get good care in ICU but two silly stupid little girls killed my Dad on a Sunday afternoon in ICU. Sparks Hospital, Fort Smith, Arkansas. It is partly just the pool of people they can pick from to hire. Only partly.

It was an attentive nurse, a decisive charge nurse and my vigilance that saved my mother when she had an embolism after hip surgery New Year's Eve. So sometimes things work out. Any holiday is a best time to stay away from a hospital.

They know everybody is going to die. Only the when changes. Maybe it is the only way to cope with all the suffering, pain and death. Who would want such a job anyway?
