There are Three major issue from someone like me observing this exchange:
- When the pilot said "Well, okay. I will remember that from now on. No problem." that should have been the end of it. Right there. But she kept on pushing it because it is apparent she felt disrespected and wanted to get in the last word.
- Then, she said she Googled it, so it is apparently "right".
- And the pilot apologized, apparently accepting on its face that not only was Google "right", but that he accepted she was supporting her position with Google, not her experience and education in the specialized field.

I know someone who thinks a relative is a genius because she looks stuff up 🙄🙄🙄
Of course they don’t get the right information - just what’s popular in her wildly worldly liberal echo chamber.

Olathe center would not put up with her freakish control behavior. As you said, he apologized on the air, she should have accepted that unless some kind of loss of life was generated by her totally ambiguous terminology.
“Short” and “long” are relative terms like “hot” and “cold”. They represent different things to different people.
She needs lots of work in Podunk airports before she gets to play with the big kids again.

Related but not related:
A British airways plane had landed in Munich and the pilot was having trouble finding the gate assigned to him. The ATC got frustrated with the pilot and asked him very loudly, “Sir, have you ever been to Munich before?” The pilot responded, “Yes sir, I have. In 1944. And I didn’t land here.”
After some silence the ATC told the pilot to take his time.
