Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy on Wednesday warned that donors had chosen former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley to be a "puppet" figure whom they may control and that they would soon force Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis to join her ticket.
"Here’s the plot: 1. Narrow this to a 2-horse race between Trump & a puppet they can control. 2. Eliminate Trump. 3. Trot their puppet into the White House. Prediction: next up, Ron DeSantis joins Nikki Haley’s ticket as VP. Ron may not know it yet, but he won’t have a say in the matter," he posted on X.
"The system wants to narrow this down to a two-horse race between Donald Trump and a puppet who they can control. And it has become increasingly clear that puppet is not a Democrat. It's not even Gavin Newsom. It's Nikki Haley. It's in our own party," he said. "Well today one more step in that plot unfolds: Chris Christie drops out. Next up, I'm gonna make a prediction. You're actually going to see Ron DeSantis join Nikki Haley's ticket. He's gonna be her VP. The whole game it's hiding in plain sight. Whatever it takes. The system will stop at nothing, and I mean nothing, to eliminate Donald Trump from contention. It's disgusting."

I’m sure he’s right.
In a way, it would make sense for the power brokers to want to get a Republican of their choosing in, lest MAGA metastasize. They want MAGA to die with Trump, and the way you do that is get one of your own in (or if not “of your own” someone who stays in his lane as they define it). They want the Republican Party in the U.S. to be more like the conservatives in Canada or the Tories in the UK, worthless.

Despite their best minds (I know, not saying much, right?) plotting against him, with near universal negative journalism and a crowd of prog judges, they can’t get it done.
