Yes. Paxton might be an excellent choice!
This is my opinion.
I live in FL and have voted for Ron. So there is that. I also know how strongly Trump is loved here. Nationally there has been significant underestimating Trump and over estimating Ron.
Its gossip in my area that Ron’s wife wanted the White House. She pushed the back stabbing of Trump encouraging Ron to throw his hat in the ring. This was easy to do when the Uni Party Rinos formed PACS and banked his run. He sold himself to the Uni Party in the belief, along with the Uni Party in the GOP (Bush, Ryan, McConnell etc.,), that Trump wouldn’t survive DC lawfare. That we idiots would abandon a loser like Trump and flock to the winner, DeSantis. DeSantis had it: good looks, DC experience, conservative clout in his home state and hurricane Ian where Ron was able to play a great leader. In the Uni Party’s eyes they had the perfect candidate. Trump was finished; he’d never survive lawfare. His allies would turn on him, and the public would abandon him in droves and back, DeSantis, their OWNED candidate thus solidifying Uni Party hold over the country.
The result, their contempt for the average American citizen bit them in their elite backsides. They had no respect for a person like me to think for myself and hold tight to what I know is right. They thought slick lies, smart packaging and crooked politics could destroy Trump and bring the GOP base back in line. Well each and every one of those evil bastards from Romney and McConnell to the Bush Uni Party Wing of the GOP to every mid level RINO currently serving in the House, can go to HELL!
My support, my vote is for America First. The only candidate who is and has run on this platform is President Trump. As long as he remains faithful to America First, he has my total support.

Nice analysis of where MAGA people stand. The Uniparty and GOPe would love to sell America down the river — to China, to Central American illegals, to native corporations who could care less about their workers, and to politicians willing to hollow out this country’s infrastructure and not stop rampant crime.
Yes, we need Trump more than ever.
You challenged the notion that a greenhorn politician like DeSantis could miraculously bootstrap himself to "be a contenda" to President Trump.
Well, time has shown you were right on the money.
What's more, we learned some other important things. Above all, DeSantis lacks the basic skills of a politician -- like making sure you don't put your foot in your mouth when you say something in public.
We also learned DeSantis can be bought, that he fails to acknowledge the reality of voter fraud in 2020, and that he can't even muster up the courage to decry the extreme "lawfare" corruption against President Trump.
We also learned Desantis can be bought by the Bushies, RINOs, and Uniparty and that he harbors some resentment of we "listless vessels", his name for MAGA supporters.
One thing we know for sure, when it comes to leadership and an ability to get things done in the Oval Office, there's no way DeSantis can fill the shoes of President Donald Trump.
I think you pretty much nailed it.
However I would challenge only one thing you said. And that is his leadership during Hurricane Ian. I can understand that. But……
You live there, do you need anyone telling you what to do when a storm approaches?
Do the men and women in emergency management or services, power companies, etc etc need to be told what to do? They don’t.
The playbook they go by has been written by the folks in the ground, doing the work, after decades and decades of dealing with and responding to storms.
Those folks just wait until the storm passes and then they go to work.
Is it nice that the Governor comes out and shows his face? Yes. Is it needed? No.
Nailed it. Again.
>>”Like so many of Pres Trump’s picks, sadly, when they meet him, they say all the right things. Get their jobs and stab him and us in the back as much as they can.”
One more reason to pick somebody like Ken Paxton, somebody who’s faced the wrath of the Uniparty but didn’t waiver, didn’t give up, and eventually out fought them. I’d even be okay with Trump picking Blagojevich for a cabinet spot if they could find one where his personal beliefs align with Trump’s policies.
I second the motion.
The President needs Pipe Hitters. Folks that walk into a room ready to kick everyone in the face, not play politics, but treat everyone fairly.
Sadly, there are far too many voters that will bitch and moan with the best of them, still think politicians should have some sort of ‘decorum’. I think it’s pretty obvious that this country’s elected reps, at every level, are some of the most corrupt, greedy and degenerate folks around.
