We have a fridge in our garage that’s our very first one. 37 years old and still kicking. It has never had a repair once. I wonder if they even make the parts for it anymore if it ever fails us. It has no bells or whistles, but it sure does the job, especially at holiday time when we need the extra space. The one in our kitchen is pretty, but it’s counter-depth, so doesn’t hold that much.

Our main refrigerator is over 30 years old GE. The style is iconic because they made so many of them (side by side doors, ice dispenser, etc...). About 15 years ago, it needed a minor repair. My wife made the comment to the repair man that maybe we just needed a new one. The repair man told her absolutely do not replace it. That type was bullet proof, easy to repair and there was a hundred years worth of spare parts available. It hasn't had a problem since them.

OBTW, the repairman told her that cleaning the cooling fins regularly (every year or so) would double the life of it. And for some strange reason, after the kids left home and all of pets died, the cooling fins no longer attract fuzz.
