There is like 3 different classes of Catahoula: 30, 80, and 120. And all in between..
I just happen to have a large blonde. They are weird dogs.
Very unique. I don’t recommend them. Web footed, stubborn, bad ass, smart. You don’t want one unless you got land. Very distinct bark. Not really a household pet unless you have a dogdoor.
I will say this: if you have small children a Catahoula will keep them safe. Sadie keeps my little Jody (grand baby) in sight.
I live in East Texas, sometime bear and cougar. This dog will do it.
I don’t recommend a Catahoula at all.
