Makes sure we follow the Diocese’s regulations about things like two-deep leadership, training for volunteers working with children, background checks, appropriate leadership, rooms with windows, and so on.

The reason there’s a snafu is that the Diocese changed its system for youth protection training. People who were certified under the old system have to do the new one, but if they don’t remember their old username and password, or if they have a new email address, it’s really confusing, and they can’t just make a new account.

I’m told that our coordinator can print out a list of everyone who was certified in the old system, and their usernames. We can compare that to a list of our current volunteers, since some of the previous group will have moved away or no longer be volunteering. Then we can set up new accounts for people who aren’t currently certified.

It could work.

Sounds like fun. Good luck with that.

I remember some of those things from my days in the Boy Scouts - er- Scouting America - er - Scouting Colonialist Nation - er - whatever it’s called now.
