If I didn’t get suggestions but got complaints, I’d make the thing they hate most (that I don’t mind eating) until they start being helpful.

You guys are so nice....It's called "survival." In a family of six, there were only two that were smaller than I was, so we were out-numbered, even if the odds were even. Those three were BIG!
So I was nice to them.
