Very little pain, just the Novocain sticks.
Last time she tore off the stitched on bolster and the skin graft.
This time no stitches, no graft until enough tissue regrows to attach it to, about a month.
Hopefully without the stitches and pressure bolster she can, with enough browbeating, let it heal.
Hospice care recommended a wee bit of morphine and lorazepam to get her through the night.
Meanwhile we'll follow smokingfrog's advice (sleep with one eye open (< o > ---)
Sorry to hear about your mom, Nully. It’s always tough with Dementia patients. I hope the finger heals enough that she can use it again. I’m sure she doesn’t understand anything about what happened.
Sounds like a tough thing to go through. Fortunately, Mrs. ArGee’s parents aren’t hurting themselves.
