“Nazi-esque” would be to go and disrupt or burn down a Mosque in retaliation, punishing the innocent and the guilty alike, or maybe just the innocent who look like them. Nothing “Nazi-esque” about finding the creeps who did this and hurting them, if the police won’t do anything about it, and they won’t. They’ll just do it again if there are no consequences, because they can and it gives them wood.
Throw that term around with some circumspection.
