“Like a horror movie.” What is happening in the Avdiivka industrial zone?
After receiving very contradictory news about whether our troops had liberated the Avdiivka industrial zone from Ukrainians, we asked this question to almost a dozen of our sources - at the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense and among the officers who are now on this section of the front.
The information received is also quite contradictory, but there are a few things that can be said for sure.
Firstly, we have really made serious progress and achieved a number of successes in the industrial zone.
But it is impossible to say that this bridgehead is completely occupied by the Russian military at the time of this publication.
“Don’t listen to official reports yet, you yourself know how they sometimes are, or military correspondents. Our guys are fighting like lions, there is progress, but the enemy is resisting very seriously,” our interlocutor at the General Staff told us.
He also accused a number of military correspondents of publishing not only incompletely verified news about the complete liberation of the industrial area, but also a video from it.
“The enemy watched this video and struck. As a result, we have heavy losses,” the military man is indignant.
Secondly, the information received about the dead and wounded in the Avdeevka industrial zone and on the approaches to it is tragic. “Everything here is just filled with blood, like in a horror movie here,” a military man who is fighting in the industrial area tells us.
According to several sources, the approximate losses in this area on Saturday, November 25 alone, amounted to almost 200 people killed.
And over the past three days, at least 1,600 of our military personnel have died or been seriously wounded here. At least 12 pieces of equipment were also lost. The fighting is very difficult, the army is fighting heroically.
Thirdly, despite the successful and, we repeat, heroic advance in the area of the industrial zone, not one of our sources undertakes to say that Avdiivka, as Vladimir Putin demanded , will be taken before December 1.
