the fact the left likes to say the colonials wiped out millions is just fantasy.
yes, millions did die. they died from disease brought over by sailors from italy sailing with Christopher Columbus... NOT the pilgrims or others from the UK.
In both Canada and the USA, the REAL genocide started after nominal independence from the British Empire.
The British treated the native tribes as sovereign entities and trading partners.
The Americans treated the natives as pests to be exterminated.
The Canadians treated the natives with segregation and forced assimilation that only ended within my lifetime.
It was only during the past decade that true reconciliation began at the cultural & personal level here in Canada.

So the UK people were germ/virus free and the Spanish sailors were carriers of disease. I did not know that.
