No. The war in Burma has been running since 1948. And I would argue that’s a restart of the situation before the British conquered it in the 1820’s, putting an end to the habitual depredations of the most powerful tribe (the Bamar) in the river valley against the weaker hill tribes all around them. It’s just that the hill tribes gained the ability to better defend themselves after independence.
Yep. Not the brutal military dictatorship Not the savage Burman oppression of the other forty odd ethnic groups. The people of Myanmar have no will of their own. Its all the machinations of those dastardly neocons.
