Crows are smart. When I first moved to Poland I was watching these crows pick chestnuts and dropping them in them in the street. I didn’t realize what they were doing.
They would drop them in the street and wait for a car to pass by. When the car would run over them they cracked the shells freeing the delicious nut meat.
When I was about 5, my Grandparents took me my older brother and me to the beach, in NJ or MD.
We were walking along the beach, when a clam dropped from the sky, hitting the sand, near us.
Seagulls take the clams up and drop them on the packed sand where the tide was going in and out.
Breaks open the clam.
