That’s way too much tongue!!!
That’s the Little Rascal’s Dog
Considering how the pit defenders adamantly insist that it’s their upbringing and training that can override their kill instinct, adopting a shelter dog is a high risk proposition at best.
Nobody knows what a pit or pit mix has been exposed to that make it a living time bomb.
Don’t tell your insurance company.
And people need to stop treating dogs like “fur babies” or that they are some sort of sweet animal that would never hurt anyone. A dog is a hunter and a killer by DNA. and needs to be firmly controlled by the pack leader. Sure they can be nice but never trust them alone with babies or small children. I cringe when I see people pose their newborns with the family dogs. Even the most “harmless” lahsa apso comes from wolf DNA.
Yep.
I live in a fancy upscale area, and 3/4 of the dogs in the local shelter are pit or pit mix. I don’t know if they are brought in from the south or the city, or the upscalies decide a pit is too much for them and pass them back to a shelter.
A woman had a pit on the other side of the street and that animal was looking at me in a not good, intense way. And the woman did not look like someone who had the strength to manage any big dog acting up let alone a pit. Lucky for me she doesn’t seem to live around here.
Big ol’ doggy smile. ♥️
