That’s good. Thanks. I passed that one on to friends.

I think you are being unfair to the bears. You suffer from arkoudaphobia. The fear of bears. Sadly, it’s too common. Take the Polar Bear for instance. The first step to overcome your baseless fear is to face it. Start off slow by having a Klondike ice cream bar. Then study Yogi and boo-boo cartoons. And finally fly to the remote regions of Alaska and tell yourself these are friendly bears. And they are. They are warm and cuddly and only want to give you a hug. Everybody needs a hug nowadays. So, now you have a plan. I’m glad to be of help.
Japanese should only go into bear country in groups of 300 fully armed with bayonets for a Banzai bear charge.
I ate bear meat for the first time about two years ago. Utterly delicious. I had no idea of what I had been missing out on. My old german shepherd and I were at a cookout and a friend had it. My dog loved it too. I had always been told it was greasy and tough. Suddenly 200 years of American literature made sense. Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett, all the settlers describing eating bear meat. They weren’t wrong.
I hear there have been a few seen in Arkansas and Louisiana though.I heard a rumor of one sighted at Mena Airport back in 80s. Turns out it was just the Arkansas Governor after rummaging through the luggage.
Years ago my wife and I were hiking in Albion Basin, near the Alta ski resort. We were on a well worn trail, passing through a meadow, when we came upon three bull meese (plural for moose?) browsing among the forage. We quietly climbed up on some large nearby boulders and watched them for about 30 minutes as they came within three feet of us. They acknowledged our presence, but seemed indifferent to us. It was an awesome experience. The meese eventually wandered off the trail and we resumed our hike.
I was hiking one time and came across a fatal bear, but he ran away.
Bipolar Bob, you have earned your name well!😜
to me it taste a bit like pork- very delicious actually-
Sword control. Yes, they have that as well as gun control in Japan. Give them back their swords and the problem will go away. Plus it’ll make for some great Tik Tok vids...
The fatal bear attacks in Japan are more fatal than the ones in the US? Amazing.
Didn’t know that there were any bears in Japan...
Thought that Godzilla (Godzira) would have eaten all of them by now...
Bears are a religious icon to the Ainu people.
Lol. Just an additional phobia to the approx. three I already have then. I’m an animal lover even the big cats but bears especially big ol’grizzlies, mostly grizzlies, are the stuff of nightmares.
