Americans are familiar with the sight of “QAnon Shaman.” This man, whose real name is Jacob Chansley, because the face of Democrat’s J6 narrative.
The man had been convicted of trespassing. But footage revealed by Tucker Carlson proved he had been escorted through the Capitol Building.
The Navy veteran served 27 months of a 41-month sentence and then was released. Now, he’s back. And his plans will surely have Democrats shocked.
From The Post Millennial: The man who has been called the “QAnon Shaman” after walking through Congress on January 6, 2021 wearing a horned, fur hat has announced his plan to run for Congress. He will be making that bid in Arizona’s 8th Congressional District.
The 35-year-old filed a statement of intent on Thursday that he intends to run on the Libertarian Party ticket, per the Daily Mail. This comes after the Republican who has held the seat since 2018, Debbie Lesko, said that she will not be on the ballot in 2024. She is 64.
Republican Debbie Lesko announced she is not running for Arizona’s 8th Congressional District in 2024. This leaves the seat vacant for what will probably be a number of candidates, Republicans and Democrats alike.
But Jacob Chansley, the one-time “Qanon Shaman” filed paperwork to run for the seat as a Libertarian.
Qanon Shaman Makes 1 Huge Announcement – Now Every Liberal in D.C. Is Terrified By Mick Farthing|November 13, 2023 Qanon Shaman Makes 1 Huge Announcement – Now Every Liberal in D.C. It’s worth noting that the man, who was an outspoken Trump supporter, plans to run as a third-party candidate. Libertarians share many values with Republicans but differ on some key points, including the legalization of various recreational drugs.
Chansley became a symbol for the events of January 6. Democrats used his image to evoke the idea that Trump supporters were “reckless insurrectionists” who sought to overthrow the government. Prosecutors seemed to suggest Chansley was a dangerous, perhaps violent person.
His lawyers maintained he was a “gentle and intelligent young man.” Chansley is a U.S. Navy veteran. That might win over voters, who are eager to support former servicemembers for Congress.
As of this writing, it is unknown which candidates he will be up against. Chansley will need to jump through a variety of hurdles before he ends up on the November ballot. His chances of winning, of course, nobody can guess now.
In this case I seriously doubt every liberal in D.C. is terrified of Jacob Chansley as the headline indicates.
Of the 5-10 people in Congress that know who he is, most of them think he’s a kook wearing Viking Horns around the Capital on 1/6
“”In this case I seriously doubt every liberal in D.C. is terrified of Jacob Chansley as the headline indicates.””
Of course not, it’s typical BS.
Then again they know damn well this guy would love to pay them back for what they did to him and others.
That was my point all along, these over dramatic headlines are comical at times, like the news is earth shattering when it’s a guy talking about running for congress that was wronged by the Government, a guy that has little to no chance of winning, I give him credit for trying.
Every expert, every pundit, every professional journalist, and all the political experts said Trump would never be president.
It’s takes money and notoriety to win a Congressional election or higher, Trump had all that before he started.
Jacob Chansley has neither, most people probably have no idea who he is, plus he’s running as an independent which will make it doubly hard.
The incumbent is not running this time so the seat is open and the Republicans will pump a good amount of money into the race.
Could he win, anything is possible, his chances are minimal at best.
The Libertarian candidate running in Georgia in 2020 prevented the Republican from winning in the general election, then the Democrat won the run-off race. That gave the Democrats enough seats to control the Senate.
Thinking maybe a
Heck of a Cook!
.
Anybody wearing a Hat like QAnon has
Some real issues that I’d
Walk away from....Absolutely.
Cheers!
Its probably a condition of his release that he helps the Dims.
I just hope he wares his hat in congress.
Trump was outspent by the Clinton machine 2 fold..In many cases cash is trash and won’t help. Look up billionaire Meg Whitman and her bid to be CA governor. Others as well.
Btw, I really don’t care one way or the other if he runs. But will say it could only be an improvement over what we have today in D.C.
No thanks. We have enough looney tunes in Congress already.
I’ll only support him if promises to wear his buffalo outfit while serving in Congress.
That’s true about Hillary vs Trump, Trump got most of TV mileage from being on Fox News and other outlets almost non-stop, they loved him before he won, thinking he had no chance of winning and he drove ratings.
Jacob Chansley, could win as an Independent it will much harder given all the money he will be up against, especially in a Congressional race with little to no TV coverage.
Never. Justin Amash briefly switched to the Libertarians when his career was finished, but no one has ever been elected on the party label to Congress.
Jesse Ventura ran as a remember of the Reform Party.
