hmm after viewing again and thinking about it, seems to be more of a direct fire weapon that got him. what the heck was he doing, standing right in front of a tank or infantry fighting vehicle with a large gun, just out of view?

In one of the Hamas videos of their attack the cameraman shoots an RPG at a building way down the block. A fellow terrorist is standing about 20 feet away and the rocket must have passed just a few feet to the side.
The next video shows two terrorists jabbering on about something - one of them is holding an RPG.
