No. That is an illusion.
Republicans are focused on winning elections. Democrats focus on capturing institutions.
Republicans think that all they have to do is win an election, then their agenda gets magically enacted by a bureaucracy that is totally opposed to everything they are trying to do.
That’s the problem Trump had in his first term, and it will be even worse this time because the Resistance worked so well the last time.
Democrats have captured every institution in the country. They can’t be voted out of that control.
In order for it to go, this Regime needs to collapse. It can’t be reformed.
The value of electing Trump (or forcing them to commit undeniable fraud) is collapse the remaining legitimacy legitimacy of this Regime. So, that in any future crisis, they can only maintain themselves by force.
Then, when the crisis inevitably comes, they will collapse like the USSR in 1991, or, more likely, like Ceausescu.

I believe that President Trump 45 learned some lessons that will enable and empower President Trump 47 to destroy the Swamp.
You will recall that President Reagan fired the Air Traffic Controllers, and made the firings stick.
President trump 47 will fire the Swamp dwellers and thereby fix the problem, Civil Service be dammed!
And, he will appoint Real Americans who will serve America First!

It would be nice if you were right. But I don’t think so.
Consider the FBI. I think that most on FR now agree that it is so tainted and corrupt that it must be shut down and replaced. That the FBI is now beyond reform.
But the President has one appointment, and the rest of that Bureau selects its own leadership.
One person, however competetent, on top of 35K who want to do the opposite of what they are ordered - It just won’t work.
The FBI is not the exception. The entire gov’t is just like them. Including the military.
This situation is beyond voting. And beyond reform. Change requires Regime Collapse.
When President Trump 47 has a Republican House and Senate, he can, and WILL!, get legislation enacted which will enable him to remove the dead wood.
There have been several Reductions in Force (RIFs) in the Military since WW II.
A Civil Service SwampCritter RIF would be a blessing!
