They are. They are weird over there.
However, northern VT is reputed to be very conservative and gun friendly. As usual, it's the cities, such as they are.
Met a lot of native Vermonters when I used to ski there every winter. They sometimes seemed to be living up to a cliched Vermont way of talking but no, it was really the way they talked.

Great people. They rode around on horses a lot in those days; probably still do. Honest and helpful as possible, while always minding their own business. I miss them.
