This is pathetic behavior from a fellow Republican!

Months ago, when these sham indictments were first handed down, I fully expected DeSantis and the rest of these GOP candidates to loudly condemn this partisan DOJ persecution of President Trump.

Instead, they chose to stay silent, and even seem to encourage this outrage.

What a missed opportunity to earn the trust and respect of Republican voters! I know that if DeSantis had expressed outrage over these indictments and over the stolen 2020 election, I would have had a hundred times the respect I have for him now.

Who are his advisors and how could they let him be so tone deaf?

Yes. As you noted, they should have loudly and continuously objected to how Trump was being treated. Instead they put their own political goals first.

This is bad for the Republican Party. But it is MUCH WORSE for the country. The Democrats will now be emboldened to conduct a show trial for any conservative they see as a threat.

And why not? The Democrats know that will get little or no push-back.

His advisors are the Jeb Bush/antiTrump party and they are encouraging him, expecting to dance with him on the political grave of Donald Trump.
