I find the term ‘voluntary’ gives me pause. What happens to people who say ‘no’ to Hamas.
But still, this is Hamas choosing to forfeit human lives, not those they’ve attacked.
The difference here is the “volunteers” are muslim. They believe if they die in jihad/service to Islam, they are guaranteed paradise. Its the ONLY way they are guaranteed paradise.
So of course, there will be plenty who will volunteer willingly to be “shields”. They believe they get paradise if they are taken out.
