If Turkey wanted to push the issue, and take a bit of risk, that’s exactly what they would do - send “peacekeeping” troops to Gaza. Turkey’s prestige in the Muslim world would skyrocket. It would also take the country’s mind off their economic problems.
Then how would Israel respond? The last thing Israel needs is a war with a decent regional power.
And to make matters worse, we don’t have Trump in the White House. We have Mr Potato Head. And he’s liable to do anything.
