Yes, but it doesn't say anything about the nature of the conviction.

Question: do you think the Duke Lacrosse Team players would have been convicted if Mike Nifong had been allowed to proceed to trial? 88 Duke professors signed a letter declaring them guilty of rape; that's how incited the town had become by Nifong.

It's a thought exercise, but if the Duke players had been convicted and then had the conviction expunged when the nature of Nifong's prosecution was revealed, would you be saying the same thing about them that you are implying about Donalds now?

We know the abuses that Nifong perpetrated on the Duke students; we don't know if there were abuses in the Donalds case. We only know that the Donalds case records were expunged. Is it really fair to impute a meaning on the expunging of records when by definition we can't know the facts?

BTW, Donalds was the same age as the Duke kids when both their troubles occurred.
