Why not just turn off the breakers?
That would require not to use your phone, which is the motive.
Batteries in the smoke detectors only last a few hours. House alarm gets shut down, too.
I go through every room. When I know I’m done with that room, I shut the door. No one goes back in. I start upstairs and walk the whole house, then the back door, garage door, and lock the front door behind me.
I turn off the water at the main.
Especially in the winter
Well, for many, it seems that would be too easy. They need to go through multiple steps to shut down things.🤣
