No, it absolutely cannot. Not until there is a wholesale housecleaning. The officer ranks need to be scoured of all the Woke DEI/Tranny Leftists. President Trump will probably need to slaughter at least 1/4 to 1/2 of all Officers - especially those in senior ranks, clean out the service academies to force them back to focusing on warfighting and redeploy our forces to our own southern border to halt the ongoing invasion of our country.

IMO, the first step should be to cut General/Flag Officer billets by 50%. We have far too many generals for the mission today.

Secondly, hold officers accountable for their actions, whether it be for bad behavior, or as bad leaders.

As an LT, I saw "accountability" up close and personal. One of my "extra duties" was Augmentation Reserve Force commander, in support of a nearby Nike Hercules Battery. During their Nuclear Surety Inspections, we'd be called out to participate, a 40 man infantry platoon, so to speak.

It was no joke, live ammo was issued to each soldier before we left the motor pool. I gave them two hours of refresher training, they hadn't done any small unit tactics since basic training. Never had an accident, a round fired accidentally, in 6 of those ARFs.

In the unlikely event that the battery failed, our Deputy CG was on site to relieve the chain of command on the spot: Battery, Battalion, and Group Commanders. The pucker factor was stifling.

In contrast, no one was relieved over the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
