I get that but this has long concerned me when they are screwing around the Taiwan Strait. I very much believe the Chicoms have produced as many as it will take. Why would you doubt it, especially considering they’re maneuvering around in that barrel that surrounds Taiwan? The NORKS have and continue to develop such systems. The Russians have been quite active the last 16 months in NK. Mundane things like swapping millions of rounds of the NORK limitless reserves of artillery munitions for ICBM targeting technology. Any assistance needed in developing the system you say will be necessary, the Russians will be there to barter for it.
Nope. Because all the hype and hysteria on Social Media is manufactured nonsense to get clicks for their podcast/web page etc.
You know why the most advanced Military in the world does not have hypersonics? Because back in the 1960s when the US screwed around with them they discovered a fatal draw back
You cannot maneuver them. They are great to fire at a land target but if you try to steer them, the physics of the forces involved destroys the rocket.
So from launch to impact the US Aegis system, on a moving target, has 100 seconds to intercept it with a whole host of anti missle technology at long, medium and short ranges.
The other flaw in this social media mything is the idea that the US Navy would have to operate close to the defense zone in a very limited territorial. Not true because it does not take into consideration the tanker capacity of the US Navy and Air Force.
The US Navy can launch a strike from quite a distance out and tanker up the planes both in bound and outbound
And finally, this all rest on the assumption that the US Navy operates in a bubble. Everyone seems to forget the Air assets that would be operating out of Japan, the Philippians and South Korea.
