So, now ruzzia is resorting to using a weapon introduced during World War 1.
What's amazing to me is how anyone could boast about this.

But Russian troops are better armed than they were in WWII when many Soviet troops went in to battle without a rifle and had to wait for a comrade to get killed or injured before taking theirs. For Russia, this is progress!

It will be interesting to see the full extent of the damage that barrage has caused and whether the Berdyansk airfield has been the only target.

Tendar has posted an update:

Luhansk airfield was targeted as well.

White House confirms ATACMS delivery. "US recently provided Ukraine with a type of ATACMS capable of ranging out to 165 km

For targets within their range (all of occupied Ukraine, save for parts of Crimea), these shorter range M39A are probably the superior weapon. They carry 950 M74 bomblets vs 300 M74 bomblets in the longer range M39A1.

Still waiting for BDA from Luhansk, which was apparently targeted with 2 missiles.

Russian forces are preparing to defend occupied Crimea as they grow unsure of retaining control of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts, Atesh, a Ukrainian-Crimean Tatar partisan movement, reported.

For this reason, Russian troops are deploying significant military resources to Dzhankoi, Atesh stated.

“GeoConfirmed ISR-PAL. A missile launched by Palestinian Groups exploded mid-air and one of the pieces fell on the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital’s yard.”

These OSINT folks have become really good at this stuff. This looks to be pretty conclusive that a Hamas missile fell on the Hospital, causing the explosion. The geolocation and timing match perfectly. I have to wonder if the missile struck a weapons cache that that resulted in a much larger explosion, or if the damage and casualties are being massively inflated for propaganda purpose. A rocket causing 500+ casualties seems suspect.

Thanks for citing Krugman and the NT Times.

From the article, "Krugman has called for the debt ceiling to be abolished, as the risk of a financial crisis offers Republicans a 'choke point' on fiscal policy."

Can't have those Republicans having a choke hold on fiscal policy, huh?

I has suspected you were essentially a Democrat, posing as a conservative.

“Biden Planning to Ask Congress for $100 Billion Funding Package for Israel, Ukraine”

“President Biden is weighing a wide-ranging supplemental funding request for roughly $100 billion that would include funding for Israel and Ukraine, according to people familiar with the matter. The sweeping measure would also include funding for border security and assistance to countries in the Indo-Pacific region, including Taiwan, the people said.

Biden administration officials said the package, which would include funding for the full fiscal year, hasn’t yet been finalized. The administration is expected to send the package to Congress in the coming days. Bloomberg earlier reported the $100 billion funding figure.”

“Sweden Says Second Undersea Cable Damaged in Baltic Sea”

“The incident comes days after Finland and Estonia said sabotage was the likely cause of disruptions to a gas pipeline and a communications cable”

“The mystery surrounding suspected sabotage of critical infrastructure in the Baltic Sea deepened after Sweden said that a second underwater telecommunications cable was damaged without explanation.

Last week, Finland and Estonia, two North Atlantic Treaty Organization member states, said disruptions to a gas pipeline and telecommunications cable were likely caused by sabotage, resurrecting worries about the security of Europe’s vital infrastructure. “

It took about a trillion more dollars ticking away to get you to answer your own assertion. In the style of a Janet Yellen or a Joe Biden.

“White House officials are considering asking Congress for an aid package primarily aimed at supporting Ukraine and Israel that could cost as much as $100 billion, although that preliminary estimate may change as planning remains in flux, according to four people briefed on the matter.

In conversations with congressional staffers, Biden aides have discussed proposing as soon as this week a major foreign policy package amid numerous international crises, including the war between Hamas and Israel. The legislation is also expected to include substantial funds to bolster U.S. immigration enforcement at the southern border with Mexico, and may include funds for Taiwan to deter aggression from China, said the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to reflect private conversations. Money to respond to recent U.S. natural disasters, including wildfires in Maui and various hurricanes, could also be folded into the legislation.

Israel, Palestinian officials trade blame for deadly strike on Gaza hospital

Aides stressed that the plans were highly uncertain and subject to change. President Biden previously proposed roughly $20.4 billion in funding for Ukraine, but Congress blocked any additional money for Ukraine when it extended government funding into November.

“It’s going to make a strong statement to our enemies and to our friends,” Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) said about the proposed aid package.

One person, speaking on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations, said the request would cover a full fiscal year for the crises it is intended to address.

Democratic leaders said they expect to receive the proposal at the end of this week.

“We intend to get the package at the end of this week and it will include the military help Israel needs, the diplomatic and intelligence help Israel needs, as well as humanitarian aid to minimize the loss of innocent human life, of Palestinians and of Israelis,” Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters.

The effort comes as House Republicans struggle to elect a new speaker, which could complicate efforts to pass any bill swiftly. House Republicans have grown increasingly wary of providing taxpayer funds to Kyiv, but may be more likely to do so if a request also includes money for the border and Israel.

Bloomberg first reported that White House officials were considering a $100 billion request in the aid package. It was unclear how much money would be included for each country.”

“Jeffries indicates Democrats are open to empowering McHenry and says informal talks have “accelerated””

“House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries indicated that his caucus would be open to reaching some form of agreement with “traditional Republicans” to reopen the House, saying that informal conversations have “accelerated” the last few days and that it’s his hope they will continue. “

“Day 600 of my 3 day war.”

Also Day 600 of:

"It's over, Ukraine has lost"

"We're in the mop up stage"

"Unsustainable casualties"

"Ukraine/NATO is out of men/tanks/fuel/ammo"

"NATO equipment is garbage"

"Russia is saving the world from globohomo"

I do notice we aren't seeing as much from Scott "Pedo" Ritter and Douglas "Dmitri" Macgregor here on FR. I guess it was getting a bit embarrassing.
