I’m seeing a lot of that giant skeleton this year. Seems to be very popular. I wonder what the Chinese factory workers are thinking when they make them.

Once again, I like to return Halloween to its origins as part of the three day holiday of Allhallowtide. I am on the side that disagrees with any connection to the pagan holiday of Samhain.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allhallowtide
Basically, Halloween, All Saints Day, and All Souls Day.
On All Hallows’ Eve (Halloween), some believe that the veil between the material world and the afterlife thinned. In order to prevent recognition by a soul, “people would don masks or costumes to disguise their identities”. Especially important for young children, as souls are attracted to them as they are full of life.
In the southwestern US, especially, Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos), tends to be celebrated as much or more than Halloween.

“Methinks this fellow reads too much into Halloween decorations.”
Every year there’s a cadre wailing that they’re indicative of the imminent end of the world. It may be ending soon, but Halloween decorations have nothing to do with it. They were just as popular (if not as costly/elaborate) when I was a kid 70 years ago.

That is very creative and it seems to be just about fun.

Why do you hope that’s a joke? I have neighbors who do the same thing. Do you enjoy the refreshing taste of Biden’s shoe polish?

Don’t use Jesus to expose children to ugly political language, don’t make Christmas ugly and profane.

I remember when Halloween used to be just a time of fun for kids, have noticed how it has progressively turned more darker, serious, more adult-oriented. I imagine marketing to increase customer base has much to do with it, but there's signs of culture rot in the mix. Noticed too that people who gravitate towards celebrating gruesomeness and horror during Halloween are the queers. They tend to really go overboard with the macabre stuff. Definite signs that dark things are flying around inside their skulls.

No wonder our culture has fallen apart with Christianity dying out in America, with adults like you using Christmas to display stuff like that to kids.
I never said you have issues but it appears you do.
