Under D.C. law, it is a misdemeanor and punishable by up to six months in prison and a $1,000 fine. However falsely pulling a fire alarm could also constitute illegal obstruction of congressional proceedings, a felony under federal law 18 U.S.C. § 1505.

He could get 30 years (oh sure) but since his being incarcerated is not going to happen the worst sentence is his constituents getting a few more years of him because they elected him. They deserve the punishment for doing something just as stupid as he is a liar.

MTG’s video is hilarious. She shows how simple it would have been for this guy to move to another door…… plenty of options.

This is nothing but a congress critter thinking rules should not apply to them.
