They are a Mexican Hairless dog.
It is pronounced SHO LO
Sometimes they have a little hair on the top of their head.
They were recognized by the AKC a few years ago. I have seen one in the last 20 years of attending dog shows. It was being shown by a Mexican Dog handler named Jose.
