India tried that in 1947, splitting off into hindu India and muslim Pakistan. But the muslims continue to stage raids and terrorism in India. It wouldn't be any different here if conservatives were to gain control of vast territory—the incursions and attacks from the "blues" would continue, just like we see when a Republican wins and election for the past 75 years.

We are a middle-income red country with blue city/suburb "islands" full of the Democrat financial extremes—welfare recipients and the wealthy.

Like our country's earlier "solution" for Native Americans, it's more likely that conservatives are the ones who would be marched off to reservations.
