In the film “Winter’s Bone” set in the Missouri Ozark’s, you see nearly EVERY house has junk cars strewn around all over the property.
It’s like this in many areas of Southwest Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, etc. It’s called the Redneck country of the USA. Those women know enough to ignore the auto blight because as soon as the yard is cleaned up, another Junker is brought in. It’s a way of life.

A project car is a lot like a woman’s shoe collection. It’s a hobby, it costs too much, and it causes marital grief.
Try telling your lady that you got rid of half of her shoe collection......the left ones. Then duck.

Things a man has that women just shouldn’t mess with: his cars, motorcycles, tools, dog, liquor, cigars, record collection and in my case, my ham radio gear.
So the man chooses to live in cohabiting fornication, contrary to God's owner's manual, and thus has his discernment clouded by the physical relationship, does not like a result of his morals and poor judgement on a women, if not a car - which apparently actually warranted the most commitment in this case.

I got stuck somewhere watching “Pimp My Ride”. At the time Sheryl Crow and Lance Armstrong were a thing going so far as to get engaged. I just looked it up - 2005 into early 2006.
Lance had a car he was working to restore and behind his back Crow grabbed it and sent it to the Pimp My Ride people. At the big reveal where they showed him what had been done to his car you could tell he was not errrr overjoyed. It ended shortly after.
Regardless of who owns what, many women somehow think that everything on the domestic scene belongs to them and that the man is just a guest the the woman’s house.
