In a democracy you not only get the government you want. You get the government you deserve. And this is even true in our country at the executive branch (more constitutional republic).
Many regular people fear the Left (e.g., the Democrat/Communist Party) more than they fear God. This is a significant reason why we have seriously mentally ill people (like Fetterman and FJB to name but two of literally thousands), even delusional people (like “trans-sexuals) running the country or at least influencing it to a far greater degree than a sane society should allow.

You're right. Fetterman elected to the Senate is reflective of the severe lack of wisdom and discernment in PA voters and somewhat reflective of the nation as a whole.
The heart and mind of too many Americans are sick. I'm afraid we're past the tipping point of recovery. Then again, the story of Jonah and Nineveh gives me hope.
